I hold dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Film and Video and Studio Art from Georgia State University in Atlanta, GA. My academic training has provided me with an in-depth understanding of various artistic mediums and creative processes, including traditional and digital art forms.
Currently, I serve as an Art Teacher at Zest Preparatory Academy in Douglasville, GA (August 2024–Present), where I design engaging, age-appropriate art projects aimed at fostering creativity and skill development. I teach a variety of art forms, including drawing, painting, sculpture, and digital art, while providing tailored feedback to support individual growth.
I have worked with diverse age groups and educational settings. At Zest Preparatory Academy, I primarily teach elementary students in a classroom setting, fostering creativity and technical skills in art. My roles at Youth Villages and AmeriCorps involved working with at-risk youth in residential treatment facilities, helping them develop behavioral coping mechanisms and explore self-expression through art and service projects. These roles spanned one-on-one counseling, group instruction, and community service coordination.
Through my various teaching and mentoring roles, I’ve developed a unique ability to connect with students of all ages and backgrounds, encouraging both academic and personal growth. My extensive experience across different fields further enriches my teaching approach, integrating creativity, discipline, and practical application.
