Hello! I am a math teacher with a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and 11 years of experience teaching in a private school setting. I have taught middle and high school students in Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, and Statistics, as well as approximately six years of Geometry. I am also ACTS-certified as an educator. Over the years, I have worked with students at many different ability levels, including students who need extra support with foundational skills and students who want additional practice or preparation for quizzes and tests.
My approach to tutoring is patient, structured, and focused on understanding rather than memorization. I like to break difficult problems into smaller steps, explain concepts in more than one way when needed, and use guided practice so students can gradually become more independent. I believe students are more successful in math when they understand why a process works, not just which formula or procedure to use.
I offer online tutoring for middle and high school students in Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, and Statistics. Whether a student needs help catching up, completing homework, preparing for an assessment, or strengthening skills for the next level of math, my goal is to make the material feel manageable and help the student build confidence in their own ability.
