I’m Andréa. I am a K-12 Art teacher who has been teaching for over a decade, with most of my experience being at the high school level. I started out teaching Computer Animation in West Palm Beach, Fl, then moved to Georgia to be closer to my home state, South Carolina. Since being in Georgia, I have been teaching Visual Arts, due to Computer Animation not being available to teach in the public school setting.

Prior to my teaching career, I earned a Bachelor's of Fine Arts degree in Computer Animation at Savannah College of Art & Design. I continued my education and acquired a Master’s of Art degree in Computer Animation. My focus areas are Computer Animation, Graphic Design, Motion Graphics and Visual Arts.

As a teacher my goal has been to build a learning environment where risk-taking is safe and process matters as much as the final product. My lessons begin with clear modeling and demonstration, providing students with a foundation. As students develop their drawing skills, I gradually hand over the responsibility—moving from whole-class instruction to guided practice, then to collaborative work and independent creation—so students gain confidence, technical skill, and creative independence.

When it comes to tutoring, my goal is to transition from classroom art teacher to one-on-one Art tutor by developing individualized lesson plans, expanding techniques across drawing, painting, and digital media, and building a client base of at least 4 regular students within 12 months while maintaining measurable progress goals for each student.

My overall goal is to benefit students, with the support of parents, by providing feedback in a timely manner in order to provide the resources students need to be successful with their artistic goals. Feel free to contact me with any questions or to schedule a tutoring session.
