I hold a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Georgia, a Master’s in English Education from North Georgia College and State University, and an Ed.S. (Education Specialist) in Instructional Technology from Valdosta State University. I am also a certified educator, licensed in Georgia to teach English for grades 6-12, and have maintained my teaching certification since 2002.

I have over 20 years of experience teaching and tutoring English at various levels. My teaching career began in 2002, and I have taught English and developed standards-based units, led AP Language and Composition courses, and designed curriculum maps.

Since 2015, I have also worked as an English Writing Tutor, providing remote tutoring in English for students from kindergarten through college, including essay writing and reading comprehension. My tutoring approach is student-centered and adaptive, focusing on identifying individual learning needs and using a combination of direct instruction, guided practice, and technology integration to support student growth. I am experienced in both one-on-one and small group instruction, and I utilize a variety of online platforms and learning management systems to enhance engagement and accessibility.

Throughout my career, I have worked with students ranging from middle school (6th grade) through college, as well as adult learners in professional development settings. My classroom teaching experience spans over a decade, and I have been tutoring online for more than nine years. I have taught in traditional classroom settings, provided individualized tutoring remotely, and led professional development for teachers and administrators. My experience includes working with diverse student populations, including those with varying academic abilities and learning styles, and I am committed to fostering a supportive and effective learning environment for all students.
