I hold both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Math Education and have eight years of professional teaching experience, including six years teaching middle school mathematics in a public school setting. I have worked extensively with students in grades 6–8 across a wide range of academic levels, learning styles, and individual needs.
My experience includes teaching in traditional classroom and virtual environments, as well as providing individualized and small-group support. I have developed standards-based math instruction, analyzed student performance data, provided targeted remediation and enrichment, and adapted lessons to meet individual student needs. I am experienced in helping students strengthen foundational skills, understand grade-level concepts, complete coursework, and prepare for assessments.
My teaching approach focuses on helping students understand the reasoning behind mathematics rather than simply memorizing procedures. I break challenging concepts into manageable steps, use multiple strategies and examples, and adjust my explanations based on how each student learns best. I strive to create a patient and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, develop confidence in their abilities, and become more independent problem-solvers.
