I am a recently retired science teacher from the Atlanta metro area. My undergraduate degree in physics was earned at Lagrange College, while I have also earned two masters degrees from Cambridge College and Mercer University. My goal as a teacher is to always provide an engaging environment for students to have an opportunity to pursue independent critical thinking skills in a comfortable environment. I believe it is important that students are not afraid to ask questions or inquire about concepts they are not clear about. As a retiree, I am continuing to serve as a substitute teacher when possible. I enjoy engaging with people and learning about others journeys in life. With 30 years of experience, (two of which where online due to the pandemic) I am equipped with a variety of educational strategies to meet high school student needs. I have worked with students with different academic abilities. It is my joy to witness student developing independent thought and confidence in their academic abilities.
