Hi! I am a veteran educator with 20 years of teaching and administrative experience at the K-12 and college levels. As an educator, I believe setting high expectations and building self-efficacy is imperative for student success. I make every effort to provide a learning environment in which students are motivated to become active participants in their learning. My classroom is a place in which each student is valued, respected, and appreciated as an individual with unique strengths, skills, needs, and interests. It is a place where all students are given an opportunity to experience success.

During my tenure as a K-12 educator, I taught Business and Computer Science-Career Development courses, significantly increasing 8th-grade students' passing rate on the 21st Century Skills Technology Assessment on from 38% to 90%. I also taught first-year experience courses which included Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher software, and Computer Applications at the college-level level in both online and face-to-face environments. In both course formats, I received superior student ratings and feedback. Additionally, I provided summer school instruction to students in grades 9-12 in all levels of high school math and English. I truly enjoy math, demonstrated by my ability to earn high scores in college math courses.
