We all learn differently, in different ways, and at different times. A student may be a visual, auditory, or kinesthetic (movement) learner. Some are a combination of all three types of learning styles. It is my job as an educator to determine how each of my students learn best, and to teach them strategies that they can use to help them achieve their full academic potential.
I love teaching and tutoring! I love watching students grow and become more self-confident as students, readers, mathematicians, problem solvers, and people. Everyone needs to know that someone believes in them. My students know that I believe in them, today, tomorrow, and always.
My language tutoring approach is a textbook-free method well suited to one-on-one teaching unless the students wants a or have a text book. This approach promotes reading and writing through the use of personal experience and oral language. The method uses a learner's existing language skills and prior experiences to create an individualized teaching text. As the student works with these texts, learner relates to me verbally and in his/her own words. I teach grammar, spelling, pronunciation, and vocabulary from that text—a text whose content and meaning they already understand because it comes from their own life. This method allows me to adjust teaching to the learners' individual needs.
You will not only learn the language, you will fall in love with it...
