My name is John. I am currently enrolled as a Junior in Augusta University as a Cell and Molecular Biology major. I graduated my high school with Honors and a 4.0 GPA but it was not easy to maintain it. On top of some subjects being more difficult than others, some of the teachers did not enjoy teaching or liked being around us kids. This made it all the more difficult to achieve high grades myself, and it caused some other kids who were already struggling to fall behind even more. Because of this, and how easy it is for a student to fall behind, often through no fault of their own, I want to help as many students as I can to catch up with their peers, and maybe even get ahead.
I have had a year of official tutoring experience in my Senior year of high school, where I was a part of a writing lab that helped AP English Language and Composition students practice writing essays, and to help them analyze their sources in a quick yet through matter. I worked one on one with students depending on how many of us tutors there were, in which case I would have taken on about 2-3 students at a time. I have also come in to help the AP Biology and AP US History students in their study sessions during the last month before their AP exams to give them tips and tricks in order to help them prepare for their imminent exam.
I want to help as many students as I can to catch up or even get ahead of their subjects in any way I can. If you (the student or the parents) have any resources like your notes or lesson plans for your classes, or any suggestions on how I can most effectively help you learn, then please give them to me. I am currently in my own classes at the moment so responses from 8-2 PM EST on M/Tu/W/F and from 10-5pm EST Thursdays will be slow, but any time outside of that I should be able to respond to you quickly.
