What do I teach? I teach students!
For over thirty years that has been my motto for teaching both on the secondary and college levels. I am a certified professional educator in two states (GA, TN) on the Educational Specialists' Level. I also hold NCLB "highly qualified" status. My major areas of specialization / certification are in Social Studies, History, Law, Bible,, Administration, Accounting,, Economics, and Finance. I have also taught English Composition and Algebra I on the secondary and collegiate levels. Having semi-retired from the classroom, I now carry on my love of students and of teaching through tutoring and on-line instruction.
Since students are paying for my services, I expect a lot of myself, and of them. Each session is planned, stays focused, and is followed up with pertinent homework and evaluation. Because both I and the student maintain busy schedules, I require a 24 hr. cancellation notice. However, I will offer make-up sessions whenever possible, To allow for a quiet and well-equipped environment for teaching and learning, I prefer to do my tutoring in my home office which is set up for such a purpose. I will come to student's homes if that is absolutely necessary. (Please note; the student is never allowed to be alone with me in my home or theirs.)
If I can ever utilize my love for both my students and my subjects in helping you succeed in school and in life, please don't hesitate to contact me.
