5 star tutor rating isn't easy
But I took a chance for my daughter from Shanghai struggling with the Eglish language. Bob Portnoy was the perfect match for her. Extremely intelligent and knowledgeable with the English language and the SAT Test. He provides numerous learning suggestions for test taking. But why I gave him 5 stars went beyond those things. He was the nicest and supportive instructor I have ever met. When asking review questions, a wrong answer never received just a "no" or that's wrongl" answer. It was always " well why did you pick that answer. He listened, and then focused on what did the should ha e been and why. Even wrongly answers were addressed in a way to not belittle , but become a supportive and memorable experience. An extremely kind and generous man. I never had a better or more caring teacher throughout my 6 years of college. I thank him for all he did for my shy and nervous daughter over the 5 week sessions. The

Bob did a great job creating examples to explain that related to my everyday life. As an example, he asked if I played any sports and when I told him Baseball he created some sentences and examples that were about Baseball. This really helped me connect with the material.

Bob is an excellent tutor. He knows the materials for reading, writing and language. He is such a pleasure to learn from. Great APUSH Tutor!

Bob is the best
My son missed a few weeks of school and fell behind on his AP US History work. He completed several sessions with Bob to catch up and then continued every week to prepare for his exam. Bob is patient and knowledgeable and my son enjoys working with him. This is my first time using Wyzant and it has been very easy.
