I am an experienced language educator with more than 14 years of experience teaching French and supporting language learners in secondary and higher education settings. I hold bachelor’s and master’s degrees in French and am a PhD candidate specializing in French and second-language acquisition. My doctoral work has given me an extensive background in how learners develop second-language proficiency and how instruction can support that process. I also hold the CELTA (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults), which provided specialized training in teaching English to adult language learners.

My teaching experience includes French and English instruction at multiple proficiency levels, from true beginners through advanced learners. I have taught university students in classroom settings, worked with learners individually, and supported high school French instruction through dual-enrollment programs. I have also designed language curricula, assessments, lessons, and instructional materials and spent many years training and mentoring other language instructors. My approach emphasizes clear explanations, meaningful communication, and instruction adapted to each learner’s proficiency level, needs, and goals.

I am qualified to tutor both French and English and can support students with grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, conversation, reading, writing, listening comprehension, and general language development. I am comfortable working with learners who need structured academic support as well as those who want to build confidence and communicative ability.
