Welcome!
My name is Taya. I received my Bachelor’s degree from Agnes Scott College. I served as a volunteer tutor with the Global Village Project and the Andrew P. Stewart Center for two years. These skills allowed me to teach within local charter schools for middle grades. Eventually, I understood that I enjoyed teaching within one-on-one and small group settings. Thus, I transitioned into math supplemental instruction for about eight years. I worked within Atlanta Public Schools, technical colleges, and a mental health hospital within the metro-Atlanta area. In each location, I focused on empowering any student who experienced academic struggles.
With my teaching experience, I am committed to providing a beautiful learning experience. I know first-hand how math can be such an intimidating subject. By creating a safe space, your child has the chance to make mistakes, be challenged, and grow every step of the way. The increased self-confidence and esteem with filter into numerous areas of your child’s life.
I personally invite you to come along for a memorable journey!
