Nicole K.

My name is Nicole K., I am an educator and the 2017-2018 Cobb County School District Teacher of the Year/Middle School Teacher of the Year. I have been in education for over 12 years. I taught middle school science in the Cobb County School District for 8 years, worked as an Instructional Technology Specialist for KSU, and taught in Douglas County for 3 years. I graduated from Kennesaw State University in 2011 with a Bachelors Degree in Middle-Grade Education with a concentration in Science and Social Studies, a Master's Degree in Instructional Technology in 2017, and a Specialist Degree in Instructional Technology in 2021. I have my gifted, online teaching, ESOL, and Teacher Leadership endorsements. I completed the Teacher Leadership Academy in the Cobb County School District and I have been tutoring for 10 years. I love when students make the connection and do everything I can to help their confidence when learning.

I have been a webmaster, department chair, team lead, new teacher mentor and delivered professional developments for the county and university.

I look forward to working with you and your students and having a productive year.

I have my certification in Middle-Grades education with a concentration in middle grades science and social students. I have taught Earth Science for 8 years and Physical Science for 3 years.

I have my ESOL certification and I have been teaching ESOL students for over 8 years.

I love working with children and I aim to inspire, create and motivate students to achieve greatness while thinking critically and being better people than they were the day before.
