After earning Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Engineering from Georgia Tech, I decided to forego a career in engineering and instead pursue my passion for teaching by becoming a science teacher. For 15 years I have taught Chemistry, Physics, Algebra, and pre-Calculus, while also tutoring these and other subjects, including Calculus and SAT math. A father of four, I have also homeschooled my children in middle school math and science.

I love the impact of 1-on-1 tutoring has on students' knowledge and confidence, taking pleasure in seeing their grades or SAT/ACT scores improve. Believing that tutoring should center on the student, my approach is to guide you on the path of understanding by asking you questions and giving hints that will enable you to solve problems. In the process, I hope to build a meaningful relationship with students and make learning enjoyable.

My engineering education strengthened my already strong aptitude for Math. I have applied that aptitude to tutor successfully range of math subjects (from pre-Algebra to Calculus). I enjoy giving hope to students who struggle in Math that they can be successful.

My ten year career as a science teacher includes experience teaching Chemistry, Physics, and Physical Science. I have also tutored in these subjects both in person and online. I enjoy helping students discover the joy of knowing how the natural world works through understanding science.
