Hello! I'm Mr. David, a passionate tutor with a B.S. in physics from Grove City College (2010, GPA: 3.26) and an M.S. in electrical and computer engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology (2012, GPA: 3.33). I worked for six years as an engineer specializing in robotics, programming, and electronics design for several companies including Intel. My profession has taken me as far as Shenzhen, China and Munich, Germany, where my wife and I lived for three years. I enjoy adventuring through mountain biking, hiking, and skiing. As a father of three, I understand the joy and challenges of teaching math, science, and engineering skills to young minds.
I love helping kids build confidence in their ability to learn challenging subjects. Rather than just telling kids how to do things, I ask open-ended questions that encourage them to think and discover on their own. I focus on patience, meeting a child where they are and guiding them to those "aha" moments of understanding. I emphasize learning through fun and practical examples to spark their engagement and interest.
I have spent four years teaching my own children math, science, music, electronics, and programming. I am active in several homeschooling groups where I organizing events and judge competitions including a science fair. Beginning in 2025, I run a math class for 5th graders in our community and provide personalized tutoring services.
I am excited to support your student in overcoming their math and science challenges, fostering a love for learning along the way!
