psychology undergrad student excited to share my knowledge!

I am a junior studying psychology and minoring in ethics. I want to be a child psychologist one day and in the meantime am looking to share as well as reinforce my understanding of psychology through tutoring. I have taken over 10 courses in psychology and have all the knowledge to be able to tutor a child or teen in psychology. Furthermore, I have fundamental knowledge on education basics. For example, I won the local spelling bee multiple times in middle school and believe that I have the ability to help another child reach that level of spelling. Moreover, I got a 5 on my AP Lang exam in high school so firmly believe I could be an effective tutor in the language arts. Finally, I excelled through math classes in high school reaching all the way to AP Calculus AB so I believe I could teach basic math subjects.

I do not have formal teaching or tutoring experience in academic subjects. However, I have experience teaching children how to play soccer. I trained two young girls in soccer once a week for an hour two summers ago. Furthermore, I have a lot of experience working with kids at summer camps and guiding them through crafts and activities that I believe could translate into tutoring. Finally, I have a lot of experience providing care with children with autism and developmental disabilities, so I would also be able to provide tutoring to children from these populations.

In conclusion, I have a robust background in psychology as well as language arts and math. Given my experience working with children, I believe I am well equipped to be an effective tutor to kids and teens!
