I earned my MD from Mercer University School of Medicine and completed my undergraduate training in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the University of Georgia. I have a genuine passion for teaching and mentoring students, and I find a lot of fulfillment in helping learners gain confidence as complex material starts to click.
My tutoring approach is structured, student-centered, and highly adaptable. I focus on building strong conceptual foundations first, then reinforcing them through high-yield strategies, active recall, and test-taking techniques tailored to each student’s learning style. I emphasize understanding the “why” behind concepts rather than rote memorization, which helps students retain information and apply it effectively on exams.
I have experience teaching USMLE Step 1 material and guiding students through challenging topics with clarity and efficiency. I also performed exceptionally well on Step 2, giving me insight into how to prepare strategically for board-style questions and clinical reasoning. My goal is to create a supportive, encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and are empowered to reach their academic and professional goals.
