I’m a dedicated educator and lifelong learner with a passion for helping students build confidence and achieve measurable academic growth. I hold a B.A. in Chinese from Hamilton College and a Master’s in International Studies from Johns Hopkins University’s School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) in Nanjing, China. I am currently pursuing my MBA at Emory University’s Goizueta Business School, where I focus on data-driven problem solving and leadership, which also shapes my tutoring approach.
Before business school, I served as the Mandarin Department Chair and Teacher Leader at a high school, where I taught and mentored over 300 students and guided a team of teachers in curriculum design and instructional improvement. I’ve spent more than five years in the classroom, supporting students across a range of subjects, including math, science, history, and Mandarin. My experience spans one-on-one tutoring, group sessions, and differentiated instruction for diverse learning styles.
My tutoring approach blends patience, structure, and real-world relevance. I aim to make every concept accessible and engaging by connecting it to students’ interests and long-term goals. I focus not only on academic mastery, but also on developing study habits, organization, and confidence. Whether a student is preparing for exams, improving grades, or simply wants to strengthen their skills, my goal is to meet them where they are and help them reach their full potential.
