My name is Ramona, a PhD student in Genetics and Molecular Biology at Emory University. My academic and research training has provided me with an excellent background in the Cell and Molecular Biology field, and specifically Human Genetics. What sets me apart from my peers is my variety of skill sets and experiences in Biomedical sciences. I believe that best teachers are those who actually have done real world hands-on experiments in their field so they really understand ins and outs of that science field. I am someone who has discovery in her field. Research has challenged me to think about problems critically and has taught me to take my failures and mistakes as learning opportunities for the future. My mission is to impart passion and deep understanding to my students about Genetics and Biology/science in general.
I was valedictorian of my undergrad graduating class, got admission to master to M.Sc. program in Cell and Molecular Biology without entrance exam. So, I know what it takes to be the best. I have done private tutoring in Genetics and did one year of TAing for undergrads at Emory in Human Genetics (my favorite topic). Based on the feedbacks received, my students learned a good deal and were always appreciative.
I am in the best position to teach you what I know and if I it is not in my direct filed I can prepare myself to teach you in the best way possible. I have the necessary foundational skills to help build your knowledge to reach your goal.
