Hi, I'm Collette. I have an A.A in Journalism and a B.A in English Writing and Publication. I have over five years of academic writing experience, two years of professional writing experience and a love of writing from a young age.

In college I was in the English Honors Society Sigma Tau Delta, I was president of the writing club, I was twice published in the renowned college literary magazine, and I took an internship with the university press. A year after I graduated, I published my first online children's book and kept up with a writing blog.

I can help tutor both lower and upper levels of writing and grammar. I can help with spelling, writing, reading, brainstorming, proofreading, editing, sentence structure, diagramming, and syntax. Although I do have these tutoring skills, I would also be successful in helping one with creative writing, and it would bring me much happiness to help someone express their thoughts through creative writing as a means of therapy.

I would be an outstanding tutor because not only do I have the qualifications, but I also have the passion. Everyone has a story, even if they're not ready to tell it yet. I would also make for a good tutor because I understand various forms of writing (especially because I also have a journalism background), and I have the leadership abilities to lead others to understanding the steps of each form.

Often writing is like a dance, and sometimes it's just a matter of learning the steps to master the dance. I can also usually tell what someone is trying to say on paper even if it isn't coming across, and since I'm good at reading people and connecting well with others, I can usually figure out how to help someone say what they mean.

If you've read all of this, thanks for your time, and I hope to help, and connect with you soon!
