I am an American who lives in the southern part of the United States. Languages are my passion! I speak English, French, and Spanish. I also studied Japanese for a short time while in high school. I love to travel and learn about new cultures.

Hello! My name is Priscilla.

As a teacher, I have taught French and English for many years to children and adults. I enjoy helping people reach their language goals. My Bachelors degree is in French. I have a Masters degree in Teaching English as a Second Language and am currently working on a Masters degree in French. I have taught in a public school setting for 18 years. I have tutored individuals and small groups in both French and English for over 20 years.

As a language learner myself, I understand the frustrations and joys that can come with a new language. I am here to help find an approach that meets your learning style so that you can reach your full potential in French or English! My tutoring hours and days are flexible. I do ask that you give me a 12 hour notice if you need to cancel our session. I am willing to travel up to a certain amount for our lessons. However, I have found Skype to be a great resource to use for tutoring.

I have worked with several students around the world who were preparing to take the IELTS. We have worked specifically on the different parts of the exam: Reading, Listening, Writing, and Speaking. I used a variety of materials with these students to prepare for the IELTS. These students felt that our tutoring helped them to be better prepared for the exam.

As part of my Masters degree program in TESOL, I took several reading courses. In these reading courses, we studied different parts of the English language including phonetics. When I was an elementary school ESOL teacher for 6 years, I worked with young children to help them understand English phonics.

Wonderful French Tutor!

I couldn't be more pleased with Priscilla. Her teaching style is creative and fun. After just one lesson, my Daughter is feeling much more confident about her high school French class. My Daughter is normally shy, but feels comfortable and speaks easily with Priscilla.
