In my career, the most rewarding part of being a manager was developing recent graduates and new hires to find confidence in their natural skillsets, and improve areas where they were weaker.
My tutoring experience ranges from paid tutoring for general education for grades 3-8, specific courses in high school, and adult ESL and literacy volunteer work. My tutoring is always conducted one-on-one and has moved to online delivery. I focus on getting to know my student's strengths and weaknesses, tailor my approach to the student in front of me, and provide an interactive hands-on style of guidance. While tutoring specific problems or subject matter, I also weave-in study tips, reinforcement self-study practice, and, most importantly, focused feedback and enthusiastic praise and encouragement.
