Hi! My name is Elizabeth and I graduated with high honors from Western Governors University in 2018 dually certified as an Elementary Educator along with Special Education (K-12). I am currently working on my Masters in ELL certification. In the spring of 2019 I became certified to teach science for middle school including high school physical science. I have 20 plus years of working with students in education. As my own children were growing up, I worked in the classroom helping stuggling students in the areas of math, science, and reading. I currently teach 8th grade physical science at a Gwinnett County Middle School.

When I was in school, Math was always my favorite subject. I excelled in Math and the Sciences that were Math based. While teaching and learning strategies have drastically changed since my time in school, I continue to keep abreast of the standards and what the students are learning in the classroom.

Physical Science as taught in 8th grade and high school includes a semester of Chemistry and a semester of Physics. Much of what is taught in physical science can be related to real world examples, and it brings great joy to teach these connections. When the students understand the real world connections, they can then apply the concepts and do very will on their exams.

If you as a student face challenges or hurdles in understanding math in elementary or middle school, physical science, or struggle with reading, please let me help you gain your confidence where you struggle.
