Hi there!
My name is Jered, and I am passionate about tutoring and mentoring students as they pursue their academic interests - finding students with "through the roof" potential and giving them the tools to capitalize on it.
For the last two years while in school, I've been tutoring other college students, primarily in organic and general chemistry. I recently graduated from the University of Georgia with a BS in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (GPA of 3.93), and will begin Medical School in July of 2026. Today, I have expanded my field to specialize in math, science, SAT, and MCAT tutoring. I have tutored multiple students in each of these areas, helping them reach their goals and achieve academic excellence. Employing a socratic methodology, I encourage pattern recognition and identifying learning strategies to help students learn more material more completely, even after we are no longer in touch.
Throughout the last few years, I have spent hundreds of hours volunteering with and mentoring groups of at risk middle and high schoolers, as well as extensive work through on organization that serves individuals with special needs. As I prepare to enter medical school in a few months, I am looking for a couple new students to work with, encouraging that same love for learning which was shown to me.
