Hey! I'm Anant, and I'm a Jefferson Scholar at the University of Virginia pursuing a degree in economics and philosophy. I have about 5 years of teaching experience; in the past, I have tutored for the SAT, ACT, AP Bio, AP Chem, and USA Biology Olympiad exams. Not only do I have a track record of success in these exams -- a 1590/1600 in the SAT and a semifinalist (top 10%) in the USA Biology Olympiad -- I also have a passion for teaching and an interest in seeing my students succeed.

My approach to teaching varies based off a student's needs. If a student is going for a perfect score, and feels that they have the concepts down, I provide test-specific training to hone a student's test-taking skills so that they can apply their knowledge effectively during an exam. For students who struggle with certain concepts, I look through diagnostic scores and repeated patterns of incorrect question types; I then tailor unique solutions for these question types and thoroughly work through them with the student to ensure that the mistake doesn't happen again. For ALL students, I provide/assign practice tests/questions between each session and create a test plan based off of students' time-specific needs.

For all my tutoring areas, I am enthusiastic and open to working with students from ALL academic backgrounds and test-taking levels. Whether a student needs me to work with them on basic concepts, has never taken the SAT/ACT/AP exams before, or needs to hone their skills to bridge the gap between a 1400+ to a 1600, I am willing to do whatever it takes to help my students reach their goals! My rates are also negotiable depending on financial need.
