While I am not a native speaker, I excelled in my classes for my French major and German minor at Wheaton College. I spent almost a year going to school and living with a family in a village in Germany, and a summer studying and working in France. I have been keeping up with both languages via reading and podcasts in the meantime!
I like to work with all sorts of students, whether they are struggling or gifted in the language. Having worked with students from all sorts of backgrounds, interests, and abilities, I believe all can learn a new language! It is a delight to help a student master a new skill or concept and discover that they really can do it! I love questions and effort, and try to encourage each person, meeting each one wherever they are in their learning and helping them become proficient!
