Hello! My name is Alison L. I have a deep passion for both children and volleyball. I would like to become a head coach so that I may incorporate both these passions simultaneously. I wish to pass on my passion and love for the game of volleyball to the youth, so that they may create enjoyable experiences and memories for years to come as I did growing up and into adulthood.
I would love to create strong leadership, team building, and camaraderie among the team that provides meaningful relationships that will benefit them for years to come. I believe that sports and fitness are important in maintaining both physical and mental health. I hope to teach the team to set goals, strive to be their best in the face of defeat, and to never give up on themselves in the face of adversity.
I started playing volleyball as a setter when I was in 9th grade and continued as the setter of the club volleyball team in college at Georgia Southern University until I suffered a knee injury my sophomore year. While in high school, I was the setter and captain of my JV and Varsity team, and went on to win 2 MVP awards in 2004 and 2007 and set a record my senior year as the #2 setter in Dekalb County in 2007.
By promoting a winning attitude, I hope to foster a sense of pride and confidence in those who learn to play from the heart so that they can apply this winning attitude towards other areas in life as a source of motivation. Thank you very much for your consideration!
