I am an experienced educator with more than 15 years of teaching experience in middle and high school classrooms. I hold a Masters Degree in Secondary Education and have completed advanced graduate studies in Instructional Technology at Valdosta State University. I also hold a teaching certification in middle grades Science

My teaching background includes Family and Consumer Sciences, nutrition and wellness, culinary arts, consumer education, personal finance, career development, and educational technology. I have taught students in grades 6–12 in traditional classroom settings and have also provided individualized and small-group instruction. Before returning to the classroom, I worked as a nutrition educator, teaching individuals and families how to make informed decisions about food, health, and wellness.

My approach begins with identifying each student’s strengths, learning needs, and goals. I break complex information into manageable steps and use real-world examples, demonstrations, visuals, guided practice, and technology-based activities to make learning engaging and understandable. I regularly check for understanding and adjust my instruction so students receive the support or additional challenge they need.

I am patient, encouraging, and committed to creating a comfortable learning environment where students feel confident asking questions and making mistakes. Whether a student needs help understanding an assignment, strengthening foundational skills, preparing for an assessment, or becoming more comfortable with technology, I provide practical and personalized instruction designed to help that student succeed.
