I have dedicated the past 12 years to working within the school system, where I have gained extensive experience supporting students with diverse learning and behavioral needs. Throughout my career, I have worked closely with students requiring assistance in areas such as special education, ADHD, emotional and behavioral disorders (EBD), and speech and language development. My experience spans both elementary and high school settings, with 10 years spent in elementary schools and 2 years at the high school level, allowing me to support students across a wide range of developmental stages.
I hold a paraprofessional certification through the school system, which has equipped me with the skills and knowledge necessary to effectively assist teachers and provide individualized support to students. One of my most meaningful experiences was working one-on-one with a student for three years, where I was able to build a strong relationship and provide consistent, tailored support to help them succeed academically and socially.
For the past four years, I have been actively involved in assisting with the school’s speech program, helping students improve their communication skills and build confidence in their abilities. In addition to my classroom experience, I have contributed to extracurricular activities by volunteering as a cheer coach for two years, supporting student engagement and teamwork. I have also assisted with the girls’ high school wrestling team, further demonstrating my commitment to supporting students both inside and outside of the classroom.
Overall, my experience reflects my passion for helping students grow, learn, and succeed in all areas of their development.
