Future Educator Specializing in Elementary Math

I am an aspiring elementary educator with experience supporting children in kindergarten through fifth grade in both math and reading. I have earned my Associate’s degree and am currently working toward my Bachelor’s degree, which allows me to continuously expand my knowledge of child development, instructional strategies, and best practices in education. My passion lies in helping young learners build strong academic foundations while also developing confidence and a love for learning.

My professional experience includes working in a daycare setting, where I supported early literacy, number sense, and social-emotional growth. I have also worked at Kumon, where I assisted students with K–5 math and reading by reinforcing foundational skills, improving accuracy and fluency, and encouraging independent thinking. In addition, I have completed internships in elementary school classrooms across multiple grade levels, giving me hands-on experience supporting students with diverse learning styles in both small-group and one-on-one settings.

As a tutor, I strive to create a patient, encouraging, and engaging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. I tailor each lesson to meet the individual needs of the child, whether that means breaking concepts down step by step, providing extra practice, or using hands-on and visual strategies. I believe strong relationships and consistent support are key to student success, and I am committed to helping each learner grow academically and confidently. I look forward to partnering with families to support their child’s progress in math and reading.
