Levonne G is a Kansas, native who earned her BS in Elementary Education, with a concentration in music from Kansas State University. While at KSU, she was inducted into her beloved Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. She has been instrumental to the Gamma Alpha Lambda Zeta Chapter, specifically having headed the creation of the annual scholarship offered to high school girls. As an educator of primarily African-American children in under-served communities, Levonne believes in the incorporation of music, technology, and even home culture to meet students where they are. She believes this honors their home experience which is not seen as bad, but a starting point to adding new information.
Levonne is a proud mother of 3 sons and two baby2. She calls herself Mom2. In addition to her role as a mother, she also teaches Zumba and other dance classes. She leads an active life of travel and adventure sports. A mantra to describe her life is: dream it, dance it, do it.
