Hi, I'm Haley and my philosophy is that no one is unable to grasp a subject, all you need is a little patience. I studied for the majority of my English degree at Columbus State University where I studied Creative Writing but also in Oxford University in England where I studied Literature namely post-colonial texts; Virginia Woolf, Oscar Wilde, and Charles Dickens as select authors; and classic and contemporary American texts. My tutoring experience mostly lies in ESL but am looking forward to teaching what I am passionate about: writing, both academic and creative, and reading. I have published both a poem and short story so far and am currently working on a chapbook of love poems for publication as well as a novel.

I also teach cooking classes. I have no official training but many years of experience as well as in baking so as a strange side note, if you want to learn to cook, let me know!

Like anything, improvement comes with practice. If you want to good at something you have to put in the hours of work but it can be frustrating if you don't know where to start. Let me be the one to guide you where you want to be. I look forward to working with you!

The most important thing when studying a subject is not just practice but the desire to learn. If you truly want to learn, I will have the patience necessary for us to help you succeed. I do not consider my job done unless you fully understand what is going on and there are no dumb questions, if you don't know, you don't know and that's okay. That's the whole point of my tutoring: to help you fully grasp and understand the subject. I am excited at the prospect of working and hearing from you!
