I am currently a second-year medical student with a strong academic foundation in the sciences and several years of hands-on tutoring and teaching experience. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology and later completed a Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences with a 4.0 GPA, where I developed a deep understanding of core subjects such as biology, chemistry, physiology, and biochemistry. My medical training has further strengthened my ability to explain complex concepts clearly, logically, and at an appropriate level for each student.

I am a CRLA Level III–Certified Math and Science Tutor, and I previously worked as a college tutor for approximately two years, providing one-on-one and small-group tutoring to undergraduate students in math and science courses. During this time, I supported students with homework, exam preparation, and long-term study planning, while also helping them build effective study habits, time management skills, and confidence in their academic abilities. I have worked with students ranging from late middle school through college-level learners, including adult learners preparing for the GED.

My tutoring approach is highly structured, student-centered, and adaptable. I begin by identifying a student’s baseline understanding, learning style, and specific goals. From there, I break down material step-by-step, using clear explanations, real-world examples, visuals, and active recall techniques to reinforce learning. Rather than simply giving answers, I focus on teaching students how to think through problems so they can become independent, confident learners. As a medical student, I am especially skilled at simplifying challenging material without losing accuracy, an essential skill when working with students who may feel overwhelmed or discouraged.
