I started tutoring when in college, and I've been tutoring either in person or online ever since. I estimate that, over the years, I have tutored at least 75 students in their homes or mine and logged 2031 hours tutoring online thus far. Simply put...I love to tutor!
Depending on the needs of a student, I may suggest a diagnostic test to gauge where his/her strengths and weaknesses are. From there, we dive right into subject matter. As we are staying up-to-date with current studies, most likely we will encounter topics/procedures from previous math classes that the student never mastered. We will address these as well! In summary then, my approach is to stay aligned to what is currently being taught in class while addressing misunderstandings/weaknesses from the past as we go.
In addition, I provide extra practice if it is desired - I look over the work when submitted back to me and we talk about it in the next session! The best part? Throughout the process I am very patient, supportive, and positive. You will receive lots of praise and your confidence will climb! I guarantee it!
