I graduated with my degree in sociology from the University of West Georgia, cum laude; I was also an honors student and graduated from the UWG honor's college with membership to Alpha Kappa Delta, the International Honor Society of Sociology and Phi Alpha Theta, the National History Honor Society. I completed an undergraduate thesis that included research on the U.S. education system within the context of race and sociology.
