I enjoy seeing the "aha" moment on a student's face. I also enjoy giving students the confidence to meet their academic challenges.
I work to convey the foundational concepts of maths. If I can do this, then the algorithms fall into place naturally.
When I teach the fundamentals of grammar and writing, I teach it on the basis of logic. Each part of speech, phrase, or clause calls for a specific structure and mark. So, like building a house, I show students the building blocks of language and how to connect them.
I want to help. If you are stressed and tense as you approach any of the core subjects (I have taught them all), contact me for a new perspective. You are the boss of the numbers. You are in control of what you communicate when you write.
Robin has provided examples of their subject expertise by answering 3 questions submitted by students on Wyzant’s Ask an Expert.
Understanding and patient.
I'm very pleased with Robin after my son's first tutoring lesson. Most importantly, she made a nervous boy feel comfortable about the lesson and this same boy commented it was a "good" session. To me, that's fantastic. Robin had lots of information and tips to share and immediately jumped right in to the tutoring. We're looking forward to continuing.Sandra, 12 lessons with Robin

Excellent and I highly recommend
My son was struggling with middle school math. Ms. Robin was able to focus in on some of his issues ( how he was taking the math test), and provided suggestions and guidance on how to approach the test and read the math problems. Her background as an experienced and certified teacher was obvious. She took the time to read the math teacher's website, so that she was always prepared. She has a teacher's heart and I felt she was genuinely invested on how well he did on his tests. After a couple of weeks of tutoring, my son got an 88 on his midterm!!! He was so happy and I was just grateful we found Ms Robin! I highly endorse Ms. Robin!Brigitte, 29 lessons with RobinTutor responded:
