I am a high school senior with a 4.0 GPA and a 1530 SAT score. I have tutoring experience through peer tutoring at my online high school. I generally work with middle schoolers and high schoolers over anything SAT related or Math related. I myself had a fantastic SAT tutor, and I have grown to love tutoring and helping others learn like I did.

For me, tutoring is a way for students to get any extra help and attention they might not receive in a traditional classroom. My tutoring style involves first identifying areas that my students have difficulties with. This might be understanding a concept or as simple as a weirdly worded practice problem. Using this basis, my goal is to guide the student to reach the answer on their own through taking things step by step.

Generally, I will use a lot of analogies and real-world examples to help my students see the reality of what they are studying not just the textbook. After helping my students finish whatever roadblock was in front of them, I make sure to go back and ask similar practice problems and questions to ensure that the student has actually learned the concept rather than just casually following along in the back of their head.
