About Kenneth

Bio

I have a BS and MS in Physics from Georgia Tech and a Ph.D. in Mathematics from Carnegie Mellon University. I worked for 30+ years as an applied mathematician for Westinghouse in Pittsburgh. During that time I also taught as an adjunct professor at CMU and at Duquesne University in the Mathematics Departments. I have tutored many high school and college students over the years and enjoy doing so, especially seeing "the light come on".

Very knowledgeable tutor.

He worked slowly and explained things thoroughly. I wish I had him all semester to help me with AP Physics. I plan on using him more to help me with the AP Physics test.

Physics Session

Kenneth was very personable and knowledgeable about the topic of magnetism. He thoroughly explained the parts of magnetism to my daughter. The session was nice. He drew pictures to help my daughter understand what was involved in magnetism.

Amazing tutor!!

He helped me with physics and gave me a deeper understanding of the units I've gone through in the semester. He was thorough as well as informative. The progress my grade went through was enormous. I can now call myself a physics genius!!

Knowledgable and patient

Kenneth was able to answer all the questions my son currently had regarding Calculus. He was patient and extremely knowledgeable. This was my son's first tutoring session with Kenneth and will seek another when in need.

Dr. Ken is a great educator and physicist

My son loves Dr. Ken and Dr. Ken is great educator and physicist. He is very patience and explained well in details and my son understood it easily even though he is learning physics by himself. I hope my son can continue the path and Dr. Ken can encourage him to explore the beautify of physics.

Wonderful!

My twin daughters were struggling in high school Physics, and we needed to find someone to work with them. They also needed someone to kind of "teach" them Physics since their high school instructor was not the best at explaining concepts. Dr. Ken came through for my kids, and was able to explain things in a way that they could understand. He was calm and patient, and both girls enjoyed working with him. I can recommend him highly!
