Hello! My name is Sydney, and I am passionate about helping students build confidence and achieve their academic goals. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Economics from Georgia Tech and am currently pursuing my Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) at Georgia State University. As a nursing student, I am especially qualified to tutor for both the TEAS and HESI exams. I scored exceptionally well on both exams, which helped me gain acceptance to every nursing program I applied to, including Northwestern.
I also have over seven years of experience working with students of various ages, including supporting children with ADHD and dyslexia. I also worked as a Kumon tutor for three years, providing individualized instruction in reading and mathematics. Through these experiences, I learned how to adapt my teaching style to each student's unique learning needs and help them develop strong study habits and confidence.
In addition, I have over four years of academic research experience, which has strengthened my skills in critical thinking, data analysis, and scholarly writing. I also enjoy helping students with essay writing, research papers, personal statements, and college applications.
