I love to teach! I am doing this is as much for me as the student, I sincerely enjoy teaching students who are eager to learn. I believe that no subject is too difficult to learn; it's usually just a matter of how it's explained. I bring a background in biostatistics, epidemiology, measurement, and application development to every session, with a focus on clarity, patience, and "lightbulb moments." From undergraduate statistics and probability to the nuances of AI logic, I help my students build confidence. My goal is for you to leave every session not just with the right answers, but with a deeper understanding of the material than you had an hour before. I have worked with students from high school up to doctoral levels.

My teaching philosophy is built upon the belief that statistics and public health are not just academic disciplines but essential tools for navigating a data driven world. With a PhD in Public Health and a specialized cognate in Psychometrics from Pennsylvania State University, I apply the principles of measurement theory to every instructional interaction. By understanding how to quantify and assess latent traits such as student confidence and conceptual mastery, I tailor my online tutoring sessions to meet the specific cognitive needs of each learner. This psychometric approach allows me to identify precise gaps in understanding and adjust the difficulty and pace of the material in real time.

My online tutoring approach is grounded in a career diverse academic experiences and specialized technical expertise, ensuring that complex concepts are accessible and actionable for every student. I bring a wealth of pedagogical experience to the digital classroom. Currently, I serve as a Statistics SME for Sepal AI and a Statistics Tutor for Varsity Tutors.

Data Analysis

I am a senior epidemiologist with over two decades of cross-sector research experience in clinical, public health, and education settings. My research consistently requires the collection, integration, and analysis of Real World Data (RWD). I have created multiple complex relational databases that house biological, spatial, claims data (e.g., Medicaid), surveillance (e.g., registry data), clinical (e.g., electronic health records), and educational data from primary and secondary sources. Analysis of these databases requires advanced expertise in predictive statistical modeling, biostatistics, and programming (e.g., R, SAS, and SPSS).

AP Statistics

My son had a great experience with Bryan as his AP Statistics tutor. Bryan explained complex topics in a way that was easy to understand, which really helped my son. Overall, I would highly recommend him to anyone taking AP Statistics. He truly cares about helping students succeed and goes the extra mile to make sure they understand the material.
