Hi, I am a current medical student at a US based institution. I have a B.S. in Biomedical Sciences, B.S. in Health Sciences, M.S. in Medical Sciences, and a graduate certificate in Biomedical Sciences. I have been a tutor and notetaker my entire undergraduate and graduate education. In addition to tutoring, I was an undergraduate teaching assistant for multiple higher level science courses and associated labs. I have taken many of the usual heavy science courses (anatomy, histology, physiology, biochemistry, etc) multiple times as I have progressed throughout my academic career (college level, master's level, and doctoral level). I also have taken the MCAT and can provide advice/insight/tutoring on how to tackle the C/P and B/B sections. In addition to academia, I have experience in medical school research, scientific writing, IRBs, and much more. While I was attending school, I was also working in the healthcare industry, so I learned how to implement clinical knowledge into my studies. This is a great way solidify the usual vast information we are required to learn in any STEM field and bring it to life.
I have tutored for around 5 years, starting from my sophomore year of college till now. I can tutor a whole range of ages. It's important to not only know what you're tutoring, but who you are tutoring. My specialities include medical biochemistry, cellular and molecular biology, anatomy, histology, biology, etc but I can venture out in any related field. Delivery of information is crucial to a student's success. That being said, I provide personalized plans for every single student. No single student is the same. This heavily involves experimentation. I utilize study plans, visual and auditory medias, practice questions, case studies, and more. Multiple passes of the material is helpful, but it does require variation.
