Hello! My name is Andrea, and I have been teaching since 2001. I love working with students of all ages and teaching a variety of subjects. I have worked specifically using techniques designed to help children with dyslexia and other reading disabilities, but I also love teaching math and writing. I enjoy getting to know your personalities and specific needs, so that I can best help you. I have a 13 year old daughter with whom I love to spend most of my time! I recently took time off from the school setting, so that I can be home with her more. This allows me the flexibility with my schedule.

If you need help with homework support, test preparation, reading, writing, math, science, or social studies, I would be glad to help out! I also speak German and can assist those enrolled in 6-12 and college German courses.
I have taught elementary school for 20+ years. I have a Georgia Teaching Certificate in Early Childhood Education and Special Education. I also have a Gifted endorsement. I have worked with all levels and have taught all subject areas.
I look forward to hearing from students, aged 3-99! If you need help with any subject, test prep, HW help, or study skills, I am here! I am flexible with my schedule, and can work with you onsite or online/phone.

Having struggled and managed ADD/ADHD myself, I have personal experience with how to best serve these students. I also have discovered ways of helping students self-monitor their own behaviors, and encouraged them to develop study skills specific to their style of learning.
