About Apryl

Connecting with students (age 5-18) and helping them overcome their individualized challenges has been my privilege for over a decade. I have a Master Degree in Special Education. I was employed as a Special Education teacher for five years. I was a Special Ed Director for five years. My thesis was specifically regarding this topic.

Whether categorized as special needs, gifted, or general education, I truly love helping students reach their full potential. I believe that by tapping into each student's unique learning style, I am able to effectively help students understand the curriculum. I use hands-on strategies to help engage "hands-on" learners.

I also completed the testing for our district and frequently identified instructional strategies to help students with dyslexic tendencies.I have a teaching certification in both Michigan and Georgia (k-8).

In addition to serving as a classroom teacher, I served as an assistant principal and behavior interventionist for two years. I serve as a tutor, behavior consultant, and special education advocate. I would love the opportunity to work with you. Please contact me to schedule a consultation or tutoring session.
