I graduated from Mercer University with a BS in Biology in 2004. But, after spending time with family and having children, I went back to school and gained a degree in culinary arts and also spent several years as an instructor with the college. I started tutoring in high school/college as a Peer Tutor where I quickly learned I have a love for educating and helping other gain an understanding of whatever knowledge is being sought after. I graduated from Mercer University with a BS in Biology in 2004. But, after spending time with family and having children, I went back to school and gained a degree in culinary arts and also spent several years as an instructor with the college. Also, I have taught several classes locally for GED test prep. My most recent experience also includes online tutoring for different platforms. I enjoy tutoring subjects such as biology, chemistry, physics, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and precalculus. I also am very knowledgeable in music theory. I have tutored all ages from middle school to college level and even some adult learners. My enthusiasm for teaching comes from the success of the student. I enjoy helping the student become more confident and gain better understanding of the material by showing different approaches to reach students with all learning styles. Also, I strive to help the student see that learning can be fun. My goal as a tutor is to allow the student to achieve their own goals and feel rewarded for their hard work.
