The one thing that I have learned through my years of working with youth, coaching, and teaching is that people learn differently and are motivated differently and it's a matter of being patient and willing to try different avenues to teach a subject. Some people can learn from sitting through a lecture, however, others learn from doing, hands on, and using practical examples to work and solve a problem.
