Bio

I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, with an Accounting concentration from The University of Maryland. After graduation, I moved to the Atlanta, GA area where I attended Brenau University to obtain my Master of Business Administration degree with a concentration in Accounting. I am currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Business Administration with a concentration in Advanced Accounting at Northcentral University.

After graduation, I moved to the Atlanta, GA area where I attended Brenau University to obtain my Master of Business Administration degree with a concentration in Accounting. I am currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Business Administration with a concentration in Advanced Accounting at Northcentral University.

Since 1990, I have held several positions ranging from Accounts Payable Specialist to Senior Accountant to Controller. I am currently the Director of Finance for a non-profit organization in Atlanta, GA. During the early 2000s, I operated my own consulting firm where I have provided services for companies such as The Home Depot, Coca-Cola Enterprises and KPMG.

I have been teaching undergraduate and graduate accounting, finance, economics and business courses since 1998, both on land and on-line. I have found facilitating adult learners both enjoyable and rewarding. By facilitating, I am able to share my knowledge and experience to help others accomplish their educational goals. I look forward to working with you to help you achieve your academic goals in Accounting.

I have taught over 150 classes of Financial accounting, Managerial Accounting, Auditing, and Taxation and not one class has been exactly like the other. I have heard many unique questions and have aided students with different learning abilities to grasp an understanding of accounting theory and practice.

I started using QuickBooks back in 1997 and have watched it evolve over the years as technology has advanced. The bells and whistles added to the online version are absolutley fascinating compared to the versions from yester-year. Extremely knowledgeable and patient tutor

I had the privilege of working with Dawn C. as my tutor for Financial Accounting 1100, and I cannot say enough good things about the experience. Not only is she incredibly knowledgeable and skilled in accounting, but she also brought an unmatched level of patience, understanding, and compassion to every session.
