I guide students in crafting authentic personal statements, building academic and extracurricular profiles, and navigating transfer or nontraditional pathways. My clients have earned admission to selective colleges, top law schools, and scholarships.

LSAT & LEGAL ACADEMIC SUCCESS. I coach students in LSAT prep, legal writing, and study strategies to build confidence and performance. For the LSAT, I translate abstract reasoning into familiar, real-world examples, helping students recognize that they already use these skills intuitively. I also support law students with coursework, outlining, and case analysis to ensure academic success from day one.

LEGAL WRITING & CAREER COACHING. As a former Big Law attorney at Jones Day, I bring firsthand insight into clerkships, DOJ candidacies, and public interest law. I have coached practicing attorneys through career transitions and early placements.

COACHING METHODS & BACKGROUND. I specialize in working with first-generation, diverse, and nontraditional students, helping them hone an authentic voice compatible with the "system" without losing identity. My NLP-based coaching reframes differences as superpowers — foundations for confidence, resilience, and lasting success.

College Counseling

College Counseling

I have spent the past several years acting as a counselor to high school and college students who are either seeking admissions as a first-year or transfer student to US undergraduate and graduate institutions. As part of the process, I assist students with assessing their interests, identifying matching schools, completing their applications, critiquing their admissions essays, and selecting art portfolios and descriptions. The students I have worked with have successfully applied to Ivy League schools, the UC system, fine arts schools, state-run schools and prestigious liberal arts colleges.
Creative Writing

Creative Writing

Whether you are writing short fiction, long forms, or want to experiment with different types of creative writing that can enhance fiction or nonfiction writing, I can assist you in refining your writing skills. I have taught creative writing and publication courses for 10+ years at a gifted education school and am the published author of 7+ textbooks, 50+ scripts for children's animated shorts, and other creative works.
Elementary (K-6th)

Elementary (K-6th)

For the past 5 years, I have taught gifted children in private academies (reading, writing, and ESL) in Korea and have received a teaching excellence award as a Johns Hopkins CTY Online Programs instructor in critical reading and writing. My primary grades are 4-5th, but I have worked with children as young as 1st and 2nd graders.
English

English

I am a veteran critical reading and writing instructor at Johns Hopkins University's Center for Talented Youth. I have also worked with students of all ages, from grade school to graduate school and beyond, and have authored several textbooks and courses related to the English language and writing. I am passionate about writing and love cultivating this same deep appreciation in my students!
ESL/ESOL

ESL/ESOL

I am the published author of 8+ ESL books in South Korea and have experience as an ESL instructor for both children and adults in private individual and group class settings. I also speak French and conversational Korean and have lived in both France and Korea. Thus, I am able to assist with translating cultural aspects of language more accurately for native speakers of those languages.
Law

Law

I have worked in M&A for approximately five years, specializing in sovereign wealth investments in the US. I have also taught legal writing and authored textbooks on US legal matters for the Korean market.
Legal Writing

Legal Writing

A former practice attorney, I transitioned into the education space to share my knowledge with others and help learners gain the confidence to strengthen their writing and gain control of their learning experience. Specifically, I have coached law students and practicing lawyers in how to structure sound legal arguments in memo and brief writing and polish their writing style and presentation.
LSAT

LSAT

I scored in the 99th percentile on the LSAT, securing admissions to top schools such as Harvard Law, Stanford Law, and Columbia Law. I also managed the development of online courses for tests like the LSAT. As a former lawyer, I am quite familiar with the LSAT and its tricks. Most importantly, though, I enjoy working with students to help build their confidence, determine efficient and effective testing strategies, and actually enjoy the LSAT!
Reading

Reading

Award-winning English and Language Arts instructor at Johns Hopkins University Center for Talented Youth, specializing in critical reading, analytical and creative writing, and student publication for Grades K-8, based on curricula typical of Common Core K-12 standards. Additionally served as a private tutor and instructor working with US and international students for 9+ years.
Writing

Writing

My writing experience involves serving as a Writing Instructor at the Johns Hopkins CTY Program and as an e-learning content writing development manager. I've also worked as an academic journal content writer and editor manager and write novels as a hobby. As a writing tutor, I work with students to better organize their ideas, improve accuracy and precision in expression, critically think about the topic they're writing about, and gain confidence in their writing abilities.

knowledgeable and patient tutor

Incredibly kind and super knowledgeable tutor! Will definitely use her for help in the future! She took the time to direct me and then allow me to do corrections and revisions on my work before giving me her expert advice and corrections.

Expert in writing and an execellent tutor

Sasha is an amazing tutor. She is very approachable, a good listener and she is very patient. Sasha is very knowledgeable in the techniques of writing a research paper. Sasha provided me with tools for outlining a paper, which simplified the process. She reviewed my paper and provided lessons on grammar and sentence structure, which was very effective to get my thoughts across to my readers. My session with Sasha was very effective!
