I'm Janai. I'm a certified teacher. I have a Bachelor's degree in Spanish. I have a Master's degree in Adult Online Learning. I'm certified to teach grades K-12. I'm also a certified tutor with the NTA (National Tutor Association). I'm currently getting my Dyscalculia Tutor certification. I also teach piano lessons. I have been playing the piano since I was 7 years old. I like to figure out what my students' likes and dislikes are so that I can find the best way to teach them and reach them. I also like to contact their teachers if it is at all possible to find out how I might be able to intervene where they may be falling behind in their classes.

My 6th Grader’s started 2nd semester with Spanish class. So I came back to Wyzant looking for a Spanish tutor and found Janai. My Granddaughter is enjoying Spanish with Janai and for that I’m very grateful.

Janai has been tutoring our Son 30-45 minutes once a week for three months now and the improvement and impact she’s had on his learning has been staggering! My son struggled in Kindergarten. He’s a very shy timid child who’s very smart and capable but had a lot of problems in a large classroom setting. So my wife and I reached out to Janai in early summer hoping we could find a professional who could get my son at least caught up before first grade. Not only did she do that in such a short amount of time but he’s excelling now. She truly has a way with kids and we’re so blessed she came into our lives to help our son. You’d be doing yourself a disservice if you didn’t go with her.
