From TEAS to NCLEX: RN Helping Nursing Students

I'm a Registered Nurse with over 13 years of experience including Level 1 Trauma & Med-Surg, Hospice, Travel Nursing, and Psych Nursing.

I earned both my ASN and BSN as an adult student with a family. Nursing is my second degree and career, so I understand the challenge of navigating school while life continues to happen. I have always been a high-performing student, achieving valedictorian twice, and relied on strong study habits to succeed in nursing school.

My real-world nursing experience allows me to teach concepts not only from textbooks but through practical application.

**Who I Tutor:**
Pre-nursing students preparing for the TEAS, HESI, Accuplacer, or Kaplan
Nursing students taking Fundamentals, Med-Surg, Dosage Calculations, or Mental Health
NCLEX candidates
Students with testing anxiety or learning disabilities

**Teaching Approach:**
Many students struggle not because they cannot learn the material, but because they have not been shown how to think through it. I emphasize pattern recognition, prioritization, and clinical reasoning while helping students develop effective study habits and structured plans.

I also work with students whose nursing or accelerated programs did not fully prepare them for Next Gen NCLEX. NCLEX requires more than prioritization and delegation. Students need strategies for multiple question types, including MCQ, SATA, Extended SATA, rhythm interpretation, Matrix, Bow Tie, chart exhibits, and more. I help identify content gaps while teaching students how to approach these questions strategically.

My goal is to help students pass exams and classes with at least a B average while building the confidence and clinical thinking needed for continued success in nursing.
